LJP Waste Solutions has acquired United Liquid Waste Recycling, United Grease, United Logistics, and United Septic and Drain. The deal expands LJP's footprint into Wisconsin and Illinois and adds significant grease collection and refining capacity to its platform.
ULWR collects and refines used cooking oil and animal fats across the Midwest, processing them into biodiesel feedstock, animal feed, and chemical products. The company diverts over 250,000 tons of material from landfills annually. ULWR founders Robert and Jason Tracy will stay on to lead operations.
LJP specializes in zero-landfill, waste-to-energy, and product destruction solutions but lacks a deep background in UCO. The big question is whether LJP will use its resources and capital to scale the grease recycling side of the business or keep it as a complementary piece of the portfolio.
