The City of Clinton has scheduled a public hearing for April 28 regarding a $3.98 million property sale to advance a renewable diesel plant in the region. Houston-based Hobo Renewable Diesel LLC is proposing a 138 million-gallon-per-year renewable diesel facility in Clinton County, Iowa. The plant would convert used cooking oil, animal fat, and soybean oil into renewable diesel. Another signal that capital is still flowing into renewable fuel production.
