One of the biggest events on the biofuels calendar is coming up fast.
The Argus North American Biofuels, LCFS & Carbon Markets Summit takes place September 15-17, 2026 in Monterey, California. It's the flagship gathering for the North American biofuels and carbon markets industry, and this year's lineup is stacked.
More than 500 attendees and 250+ companies are expected, including names like Neste, Valero, Bunge, bp, Chevron, Cargill, United Airlines, JetBlue, and Southwest Airlines. Regulators will also be in the room, with confirmed participation from the California Air Resources Board, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Washington State Department of Ecology, and others.
The three-day event covers a lot of ground. Sessions focus on LCFS and cap-and-trade policy updates, feedstock sustainability and sourcing, renewable diesel, SAF, RNG, and carbon markets. Attendees can also meet directly with senior government officials, which isn't something most industry events offer.
For UCO and feedstock players, the policy sessions are worth paying attention to. State-level clean fuel programs directly shape the credit values that drive demand for low-carbon feedstocks like used cooking oil. When LCFS credit prices shift, the entire supply chain feels it.
The event draws professionals from the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East across 15+ countries.
